Nintendo 3DS Aqua Blue
Amazing system!!!!! Great performance. :)
The 3DS is great step up from the all DS system's the last one i had was the DS lite i enjoyed that but now that i got the 3DS i could never switch back it's amazing great performance love the new soft ware and that there is lots of apps ready to go with purchase and more to come (Download) some other good features are great games, 2d/3d camera, built pedometer to keep track of how many steps you take when the system is in sleep mode and with every certain amount of steps take you earn coins to play mii games and earn new items, and the newest and coolest thing is the ability to connect to the wireless internet witch will be available in a system update at late may. Thanks for reading my review hope it helped. And hope you enjoyed the 3DS as much as i do.
Do not be tricked!
The nintendo 3DS may look really cool, but many doctors say it is bad for your eyes. I recommend the NGP (the new playstation portable). Just wait till you could pre-order it.
The 3DS is amazing. The 3D effect works perfectly and most developers are using it efectivly in games. In Pilotwings Resort the 3D allows you to see how far away the targets are, vastly improving game play. The 3DS is an entirely new system, completely separate from the DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL. The graphics are greatly improved from the original DS's and are near X-box. All of the additional features added are quite fun. The AR games are spectacular, the wireless features such as Street Pass and Spot Pass work extremely well, and Netflix and a 3DS Shop will be available in the near future via a system update. The 3DS is backwards compatible with all of your old DS games, so do not throw them away. The 3DS has great value and is easily worth the $250 MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price)
What isn't bad for your eyes?
Sorry CommandoRawaz, but the NGP would be bad for your eyes too. Sitting on your computer looking at your screen is bad for your eyes. Watching a 3D movie at the theatres is bad for your eyes. That doesn't mean you should only watch 2D movies. Saying to not get the 3DS because it can be "bad for your eyes" is a completely redundant argument. The only thing the NGP has going for it is graphics. Touchscreens and pads have been around for a long time. So have cameras. Sorry, but the 3DS is superior in terms of ingenuity with it's 3D functionality without the use of glasses.
You have now entered next generation gaming!
I look at my step daughter's DS Lite and I wish the 3DS was as slim and the hinge was as tight. Couldn't Nintendo come out with a slimmer design or this an excuse to sell you a Lite version a year or two down the road?
MIT is currently developing a 3D glassless screen that works on multiple horizontal and vertical angles, brighter than the 3DS display and uses less battery power. Is this going to be incorporated in the next 3DS? I would feel like a schmuck with a first gen 3DS. I mentioned the hinge, it feels like it wobbles on mine and I sent an e-mail to Nintendo. Their response was that it was designed to click into place and have some play. I never had any wobbling or movement with the DS Lite.
The first batch of games have been lukewarm. There is no killer app or first party title from Nintendo. A couple of games are ports with added 3D. The internet browser and e.Shop should of been ready at launch. It feels like it could of been baked a little longer.
With all my gripping aside, the graphics are better than the Wii IMO. Streetpass and Hotpass are very neat features. AR games and 3D definitely feel next gen. The soundchip is awesome, it sounds so much better than previous or current portable gaming consoles. I can't wait until the big titles come out: Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy, Mario Kart, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Ninja Gaiden, Resident Evil Revelations, Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. The 3DS suffered a sleepy launch, I think it will catch momentum when the bigger IP's are released.
The graphics are awesome, looks nicer than the Wii (maybe because the Wii doesn't support HD and I play on an HDTV and the 3DS plays on a screen with native resolution?) and is far far better than the aging PSP. I don't care about what kind of specs the NGP has. I think once more games are released, the price comes down, the 3DS will do so much better.
The 3DS is definitely next generation gaming catering to both hardcore and casual gamers. If your an early adopter and don't want to wait until the Lite version comes out with a slimmer design and better battery than get this. If not wait until the next design comes out.
I love it!
Maybe it's just because I really like games or nintendo, but I like this system. I don't understand why some people don't like it. I mean if you're into Xbox games or are getting the PSP GO then the 3DS isn't you're thing. It's honestly more or a kids thing, not alot of real violent games, you can't have that on this kind of system, but feel free to argue with me...
It is amazing and completely worth it!
I have a 3DS and i dont understrand why people say its a bad system. It is just awesome, the graphics are what stand out to me, and the 3D is just icing on the cake, it looks very realistic and the 3D doesnt hurt my eyes or give me headaches, even if i play it for a long time. all in all, the 3DS is awesome and i would definatly reccomend this to everyone!
This is incredible, the 3D adds beautiful visuals that make the screen seem bigger as well, while still keeping the unit nice and compact. Nintendo really did well with the launch titles balancing quality and games that will show-off the 3D. Plus all the DS games are compatible and the online store is coming soon. The buttons and D-pad seem solid, everything seems to be of good quality. Analog control stick feels better than my PSP, and I've had more fun with this already than my PSP or IPhone. With the promised upcoming titles, this might be th best portable gaming system ever. Oh and the aqua blue is gorgeous and the ability to scale down or turn off the 3D is genius.
fun but painful
ok yes the 3ds is good but the 3d can be a problem for instance when i tried it out at a hands on event it was good i got hooked but after 25 minutes of playing my eyes were killing me i seriously had to turn it off and sit in a corner blinking so that my eyes would feel better plus the 3d does have an angle if you look at it from the right if you look at it from the left its really hard to get that perfect spot and just like other previous ds titles it is poorly made the control stick breaks easily the l and r buttons dont stick together to well now im not saying you wont like it youll probably love it but im just warning you nintendo doesnt make new systems they just improve on there old ones
Amazing Game Lineup
I just pre ordered the 3DS and when I was looking at the games on here they only have some of the launch games. But besides that the 3DS has an amazing game lineup of games from series such as Zelda, Starfox, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Tom Clancy.
