Super Mario 3D Land
I`m gonna pre order the game soon, and i cannot wait until it comes out in december. It looks awesome! although it doesnt look anywhere close to being as in depth as super mario galaxy, the new power up the tanooki suit.
Okay, you can get a 3DS now.
Scored a 9/10 in Nintendo Power! Scored 38/40 in Famitsu! A perfect mix of 2D and 3D Mario Platformers! This is THE reason to buy a 3DS before Christmas! Well, that, and Mario Kart 7. 8D
A fun, portable SMG experience
I absolutely loved this game. Although it felt short and a bit easy, some new challenegs open up which allows a seasoned player to really test their skills.
The Graphics are amazing, they match that of SMG on the Wii. The levels are somewhat short, but seeing as this was designed as a "Quick play" portable game, it makes sense that levels would take you no more than 5 minutes to beat. Even though the levels are short, there is a huge amount of secrets and hidden paths to take, and the Star Coins add so much to the replay value.
As always, the music in the game is very catchy, but by no means better than SMG2's fully orchestrated soundtrack.
The 3D effect for once, actually helps, I for one have not even attempted to play this game without my slider at max, it's that good.
Streetpass has been used in a way you wouldn't expect, even if the person you streetpass with doesn't have the game, you still unlock a "Mystery Box" which allows you to play a short mini game (where you attempt to defeat all the enemies, or get all the coins, etc.) for a star medal, or go to a toad house and get a power up which will help you in later levels.
Unarguably the best 3DS game availible. If you own a 3DS and don't have this game, you are missing out, BADLY.
This is the 3DS game I've been waiting for.
Nintendo has done a great job of taking the same tried and true Mario formula and tweaking it so it feels like an entirely new experience. The game plays like a cross between New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy, which help give the game an entirely unique perspective. There are so many secrets in this game; it can keep a person going for a long time, despite the levels being short. I, myself, spent weeks playing this just so I could complete the game 100%. Not only did I enjoy the gameplay, but the 3D graphics and the musical score were awesome as well. All in all, this game is definitely worth $39.99. If you had any doubts before about getting a 3DS, you should definitely buy one now, even if it's just to play Mario's latest adventure.
After owning a 3ds since it's release date, I am glad to see Super Mario in the 3rd dimension. After reading previews and seeing videos, I think this game is a mash-up of Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Bros. 3. In some areas, the game is side scrolling, like in the earlier Super Mario titles, but in some levels, you can run all around, like in Super Mario Galaxy. I watched the Electronic Entertainment Expo and the second I seen the raccoon tail of the tanooki suit, I said to my best friend watching it with me, "Awesome. Just, awesome." I loved playing with the tanooki suit on a side scroller, but on a 3D game, I know this will be awsome. Just Awsome.
I was a little skeptical when I first bought this, but this game quickly proved itself. The beginning is easy, great for kids and casual gamers, but about world seven, it gets pretty intense. Lots of great and unique levels, and the star medals offer plenty of replay value. My only complaints are that the levels are a little short (Not to say they aren't good) and while the music is good, some of it gets annoying after a while. But when you only have two things to complain about, that's a sign of a great game. Overall, a worthy entrance to the 3DS for Mario.
A little too easy
I got this for Christmas and I love it. The game looks great as this is the best use of the 3D so far. It's the only game where I'll only play it in 3D on my 3DS. Now with saying that, unfortunately while still very fun, the levels aren't as clever as most Mario games. It's not until you get to almost the end where you feel a bit of a challenge and there really aren't a whole lot of levels. Now saying that, this is another great Mario game and you won't be disappointed with it.
This game will absolutely good great with your ninbtendo 3DS. Just give it a few more months, and Nintendo will make another Bundle :D
This game was alot of fun, I have to admit it seemed short, but that's why they're making another one. One of my facorite features of this game was being able to see how fast my streetpass friends completed the levels. We were always battling to be the fastest.
I just got this game today and I first started to watch the IGN reviews and saw how good the ga,e was it is really good even if u are not a huge Mario fan!!!!!!!
