This is the best gaming console ever!!! It has everything that a Wii, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360, and more. Also, for a new console, it's pretty cheap!

Amazing experience.
I would highly recommend this to a friend. The wii u is amazing. At first, I thought It was no big deal. But when i tried it at eb games before the launch on November 10th, I was astounded. And on my birthday when I came downstairs blind folded, I took my blind folds off and I almost fainted at the sight of what I saw. Set up in front of the tv was the wii u deluxe set!!! It's a bit hard to get used to playing it at first, but after just a bit of playing it, you should be used to it. and I would recommend the wii u deluxe set because it has more storage(32 gb the basic set only comes with 8 gb), comes with a game pad cradle and charging cradle wich are pretty expensive to buy separately, some kind of special offer and Nintendo land so you don't have to buy a game. Nintendo land is the best possible way to learn how to play the wii u. That's why I would recommend the wii u deluxe set,

Great piece of hardware.
When I first went for the Wii U it was simply because it was a new console and I wanted something NEW. Playing it brings me to a whole new level and it is quite amazing. The full power has not be properly shown and won't be for many months, but for now we get to experience the full extent of the gamepad. Definitely worth the almost 400 dollars (including tax). The ONLY thing that bugs me about the wii U is having to update it, and the ports have not been modified to take advantage of consoles power so load times on third party ports are standard to a ps3 (faster than a 360). Amazing console though, it purrs like a kitten (just kidding, you can't really hear it at all) haha. Love this machine.

The next generation is here!
Ok so I did a preview of this system before and wasn't sure about it. There were a lot of questions left unanswered and nothing quite looked next generation as of yet. Well I was wrong as this is the next generation, maybe not in graphics as of yet, but in hardware and technology, for sure! First off, the online is very robust and easy to use. The best part about it though is there's no friend codes anymore. Now it's Nintendo ID which is like the PSN ID and 360 gamertag. Have a username linked with your mii and you're set! Now 2 things to note is that if you're under 13, it costs $0.50 to make a online account and there's a bit of a glitch sending friend requests right now, which I'm sure will be addressed soon. Other then that, it's like other systems. Also, the MiiVerse is really cool, but I think it'll take a while to really get that going. Now the graphics for each game aren't the best. It's very cool to see Nintendo games in HD but the other games (third party like Batman or Assassin's Creed) look like the 360/PS3 counterparts so nothing mind-blowing. Saying that though is good because I think in about a year or so, we're going see the true mind-blowing power of this machine. Now the launch games are very solid and diverse where you'll have a lot to choose from that are great from the very start. All in all, this is a very robust system that will only get better. It won't get hardcore gamers in it (unless Nintendo gives us a first party exclusive robust online shooter) and it's still not for everyone, but a huge step forward compared to the Wii and if you're like me, you'll instantly fall in love with it. People say Nintendo is behind and going be way behind in a year or two. I say it's going be ahead of everyone in a year or two since it's already ahead, in my opinion, right now!

Wii U: Savior of the Gaming Industry.
The Wii U...Nintendo's next Home Console. It is the 1st of the 8th gen systems. Even though myself would be happy if the Wii U only was bumped up to 720p I find myself jumping for joy along other Nintendo Core gamers that Nintendo is finally going HD. And if you think they are just catching up to the PS3, and 360 then think again. Wii U is 1080p and 60fps. Granted it will take about a year for Wii U games to hit fully quality and true 1080p and 60fps for each game. But with games like ZombiU, New Super Mario Bros U, Assassins Creed 3, Rayman Legends (Exclusives to Wii U) Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2 (Wii U Exclusive), COD BO2 (Uhg,,,) but its off to a great start. (Best console launch in history? Maybe...just maybe)
Plus with future games like Smash Bros HD, Zelda HD, Metroid HD, Donkey Kong HD, Kirby HD, F-Zero HD, StarFox HD, Miyamotos new IP and such the Wii U has a bright future. With a new take on online gaming (Miiverse) its time to move up to the 8th gen. Overall Wii U's online will be better then XBL or PSN and unlike XBL it will be 100% free. So ask yourself, would you rather play COD BO 2 on Wii U were it is 1080p and 60fps and free online? Or 720p 30 fps on XBL where you have to pay for online?
In short Wii U will be a huge success. Anyone who enjoys Nintendo systems and games should get the Wii U in fact it is a MUST HAVE system. All though at this point in time if you didn't pre-order it way back around mid september then your most likely out of luck. Its going to be the Wii all over again. If you dont get one at Launch you might be waiting quite some time to pick one up.
Overall I give the Wii U a solid 10/10. (I may not have my Wii U yet cause well nobody does lol but only a fool cant see the potential of the Wii U and the Gamepad)

Overrated
I'm sorry Nintendo but i will not buy this. I bought the Wii and have an Xbox and a PS3. This is $400 , My Xbox and My PS3 were both less than this...this whole idea seems to overrated. Again, i'm sorry but I'm staying with My Xbox and PS3

So Excited!
I am so excited for the release of this system. Nintendo is "the godfather of gaming" for a good reason. The initial release is going to be great and Nintendo has left room to grow with this system so personally I am very excited for the release and future for this system.
To everyone whining about the specs in regard to HD, you need to first wait until you play the games before judging them by a bunch of numbers. Nintendo has always been about the game-play value. Why else would a series like Paper Mario do so well? The graphics may as well have been NES-style but the game-play was great. Also, look at the leading game series for Nintendo: Legend of Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Donkey Kong... etc. These games are about being fun to play, not just HD graphics. I can't wait to experience this system. Nintendo isn't going to ignore the HD market, but they aren't going to copycat Sony and Microsoft. They'll stick with what has worked for over 20 years and they'll compete well when the other Next-Gen systems are released.

Many questions still left unanswered
Nintendo has a history of doing this with all consoles. Show you it but not tell you about it right away. Each day they give more and more information regarding this system, but there's still many things that I wonder. First, it looks like just a upgraded Wii with the name and the fact that Wii U games still use Wii controllers. Second, with that last statement, do we need old Wii controllers to play some of these Wii U games or can we use the gamepad/pro controller for all, including multiplayer? Last, Nintendo said that it's more powerful then the PS3/360 but first party games can only go up to 720p and with Sony/Microsoft to announce a new console in the next few months, can Nintendo keep up the hype for at least 2-3 years, not just for being first. That said though, I still preordered mine since Nintendo has great games and mascots still and looks like a great step in the right direction to keep up with the powerhouses of the other big 2.

Going to be a great system.
32GB is a great size for a Nintendo console seeing has you dont need too install/download games to the hard drive to make them either run or run better like the PlayStatons and the Xboxes. You only need that space for downloadable Eshop games that probably only are going to take up anywhere from like 10mb to 1 or 2GB each, if there are any apps that will probably only take up somewhere around 1-5mb.
Finally 3rd party games are coming to Nintendo and also 3rd party exclusives like Bayonetta 2 (since Nintendo is the publisher).
