I have to say this game is truly great. The core aspects of "Diablo" have returned and once again it sets a the bar high for anyone who wants to create a hack-and-slash adventure. ONE WORD OF CAUTION FOR THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED! You will need a decent computer to run this game. Many people are having frame rate issues and some are having minor mouse lag issues. (FYI: If you have an issue where you mouse gets stuck at the bottom of the screen, then slowly navigate your invisible mouse to the options tab and make the game windowed or windowed fullscreen.) Aside from issues people have with the game, mainly due to the PC or laptop not being powerful enough, Diablo 3 is a great game. FINAL WORD OF CAUTION! If you are interested in buying this game, PLEASE PLEASE! find out if someone you know will give you a "Guest Pass." You can simply download the game or install it from that persons disc, and try it for (I believe) 14 days (Provided you have a guest pass). If you have any issues with the game you won't lose any money and most people don't ever use the guest passes anyways.
Not perfect, but still fun
Diablo 3 isn't perfect, many of the user complaints are true and it does make the game less fun. But the game isn't awful. I am still enjoying playing alone and with friends. I also do believe that Blizzard will work towards making the game better. Maybe don't buy it right now if you are on the fence (unless you are willing to wait for the changes) but remember to look in on it from time to time.
Failed to meet the hype.
I have sunk many hours into this game, and come up feeling left empty. It has in no way shape or form has retained any good qualities from D1 & D2. As you progress through the difficulties you will start to notice you are been forced to use the auction house (a new feature) to keep up to date on your gear. In previous Diablo games you could find your own gear in a timely manner, but due to the large amount of item properties in D3(most being terrible)....you will be looking at hours upon hours of grinding.
In the earlier difficulties it retains its true to the core combat style, things die fast and its fun...but by the time you get to inferno, you find yourselves kiting for minutes. Also, with progressing through difficulties the amount of class builds viable can be counted on one hand. This is something that was not expected, we were told that their were thousands of builds that are viable.
The story is OK, and like always the cinematic are top tier quality. But, it has taken the traditional storytelling style from WoW (shocking since they are the same people doing the writing). Everything is very predictable to guess before the events even happen. I will leave it there, so nothing is spoiled.
Sounds and graphics are well done, despite the large amount of hate towards the graphics by many....the amount of detail is amazing. The problem is, that it quickly becomes unnoticed because you are either flying through it quickly or running for your life from monsters that one shot you.
Overall, its below Blizzard standards and I would not recommend getting this game until its at least $29.99 allowing the developers time to stabilize flimsy servers and balance issues.
the clock is ticking
i pre ordered a copy at last :) this should be awesome, it feels like the wait is coming to an end because it's releasing in the end of this month.. male wizard ftw! sadly now the wait is aimed towards HL3 .. bring it on!
I was playing the beta and I found it very fun! Even playing the first boss several times each day. I thoroughly enjoyed the beta and am looking forward to the release next week, It will be well worth it!
The beta test is good but there are alot of iusses with the game. The game play is a mixed of the old Diablo series and World of Warcraft. When you level the stats points are already invested. The sceneoir is birght for a game that should be dark, creepy and scary. I know that beta has limited content but the overall experince is not what I find to be up to par.The game needs alot of work so don't wait till the game to be released.
as of jan.24th there is still no release date of this game....and to be expected of 2 months min.. of a release date
Diablo 3 bata player
I must say I have a diablo 3 Bata key and this game will be well worth the price the game is assume as well the characters are a lot more fun.
Losing characters too frequent
I was supposed to be a great game, but after a week after I started the game (I bought the pre-ordered game when it came in the store.) my character lost all her equipment. A few days ago all my characters even my 50level plus Monk is ready to fight Legion , is gone forever. If a person needed a authenicator dongle to keep his or her character ,it should have been part of the package, not have to be ordered later on. Also I don't care that my save games are in ether. I rather that they are in my computer
can't even start playing d3
full of bugs full of errors. the only thing that happened after buying d3 is trying to trouble shoot it and still can't get it to work. others have been getting the same problem as me since release date and blizzard still hasn't spoken up about it. a month after release still no patch to fix d3. d3 keeps restarting my computer and is not fun at all.
