Don't Listen to the Others.
I have been playing the Civilization series since the second one, and sure this game wasn't spectacular at launch compared to the forth game. But with the new Gods and Kings expansion, all of the patches and the fact you can create and share mods on steam? Brilliant. The only negative that I would say about this game is the fact that it is way to easy compared to the last games. This game is a for sure sale for fans of the series, or people who just want another good PC game.

Longgggggg.....
This game is great if you have a LOT of free time and a powerful enough computer to play it. In all this is a slower paced game with no real story. You will pick a nation and through turns against an AI (or another person) you will develop your nation and progress through ages until you win the game, which can be done in a number of ways. This is a hightech version of Risk. This game is for someone who likes to methodically think through all his options and for those who want a Sim city/Risk mix. Overall after playing a few maps it will slowly lose interest and nothing ever really changes except the Nations you choose.

CRASHES GALORE!!!!!!
I have had this game since its release. It has many issues, crashes alot. Patches are slow to come and this game was released before it was done. 6 months later its still not done. Stay away til its fixed.

Boring and Disappointing
This was not worth the 30.00 i spent on it. I found it very slow, and boring. I really enjoyed Civ 4 and was hoping for something great with this one. I have played it a few times as different characters hoping again for something that it just does not have. This gave is not worth buying. Save your money!
