Eerie, Dark, Beautiful
Initially, a female protagonist is what attracted me to this game, but it has a Tim Burton feel to it that has me totally hooked. The gameplay reminds me more of my Nintendo 64 days, but the scenery is BEAUTIFUL and totally has me hooked. Very unique and fun, while still being incredibly dark and morbid.

Great.
I love this game, one of my favourites. Very detailed, challenging and fun. Though sometimes it is frustrating. I would suggest it to a friend.

awfully disappointed
Before I write this review I would like to say that i'm a huge fan of the first A.M. Alice game that came out on PC back in the days. bringing forth a sequel a couple of years later is one of the reasons I decided it was time to stop using my PS2 to finally go and buy a PS3. Now as I started the game i noticed certain things that bothered me such why haven't they exploited the vast potential of the PS3 technology by going all out on the enemies and the atmosphere levels. the graphics are not bad although in certain levels and i have to say a lot--you would think you were playing an old adventure game on windows millennium. They weren't pixelated or anything only that they felt like they didn't impress at all for a 2011 PS3 game. SPOILER ALERT-------------The bosses...... where were all the bosses. At one point after the middle of the game you meet the executioner. you hardly fight against him all you do is run away to different rooms and you start fighting against small enemies. I remember the Alice you would fight against in every different stage or chapter. this game there was only one official boss at the end. the music kinda of disappointed a little as well since the first had former drummer and grammy winner of Nine Inch Nails Chris Vrenna compose the soundtrack for the first game. And the gameplay was stiff. You couldn't hit anything when you're in the air or climb up a step just like in the first (CLIMBING UP A STEP). And Certain enemies were too annoying to beat even with all the weapons upgraded you'd still have trouble killing them. speaking of weaponry you'd think they would expand the arsenal but your limited to just a few.

Alice Masterpiece
This is one of the most incredible games I've ever played, the campaign is ridiculously long and the environments are just popping with so much twisted detail that you can tell that this was a real labour of love for the devs. Combining great platforming, with puzzle- solving and a level-up weapon system, under a twisted storyline with great voice-acting, this game excels in so many ways that it makes it, tough not to sound like I'm exaggerating. It also comes with a free download for American McGee's Alice, the original, increasing the value. Worthwhile for any platforming or action game fan, or those looking for something different.
