Good Game
This game is quite good, as far as character depth, graphics and combat/skills goes, but it was lacking in location variety. There are very few dungeon designs, which are recycled many times, and when you aren't in a dungeon, you are in a single city and its countryside. This game is definitely worth playing, but may not leave you wanting to play multiple times through.

Better than the first
I don't know why so many trashed this game but for me, it was a great second entry to the series... The dialogue was significantly better (especially in the humour department), the gameplay was faster and more exciting, and the overall look of the game was more polished than the first game. To me it's all I want from a sequel.

A game where you will enjoy.
The dragon age trilogy will always amaze me in multiple ways. These type of games keep me entertained threw out. It slightly lacks in some parts of the game, but not enough to ruin your time.

Like all great movies, sequels just don't cut it.
I`m not sure where to start. You play throughout the game as a fully voiced character named Garrett Hawke. Similar to Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening, you can customize your character's name, gender, looks, etc. It sounds great, but when it comes down to actually playing, it's not. At least not for me. The gameplay is very dull, the story is boring your companions are useless. A good 75% of the time, it seems like your companions just repeatedly die. You cannot alter your companions armor or attire like DAO, and it seems like your choices throughout the game make very little difference as to how it plays out. The only likable part of this game for me was the character, Varric. Hopefully they will bring back the elements from DAO that made the game great. Maybe we will get to see more than a total of 10 maps, recycled over and over and over...

Such a disapointment
By selling out the Dragon Age franchise lost at least one fan with this title. Dragon Age: Origins while it didn't have good graphics, or exciting combat had a depth and story line that true RPG fans crave. Sadly, the depth and story were sacrificed and the result is yet another hack-and slash button smasher. Don't bother.

Sorry, I don't like this direction at all
As a huge fan of Dragon Age Origins, I was sadly dissappointed with alot of the changes made to this game. Everything looks mainstreamed, streamlined, and doesn't feel ike it's supposed to. The story has been weakend, and many of the RPG elements have been dumbed down or phased out. This is not the direction I want to see RPG's heading. Too many cinematics and not enough game. And I preferreed DAO's battle system to this boring mess. In DAO I could sit back an unleash whatever I wanted and have fun with my character, it was an excellent blend of old and new sensbilities. But they just turned it into a twitchy-button-mashy mess for the masses with DA2. This game heralds the end of Bioware as a respected developer for myself. They went from prime-rib to fast-food in one game.

Great but not Epic
Here's the deal: I LOVED DAO1. I was addicted to that game from the very first moment I started playing it. I really liked the choices available in the game, whether it was armor/weapon choices or game plot choices. This was a phenomenal game for me and I must've played it for six months straight, doing everything imaginable with every imaginable character. Now, this sequel has left me wondering, "Why?" First of all, you can't even choose a race, you're human and that's it. Some fans may not care about that option, but I do. Other changes range from mild to major. Some I like, some I really don't like. The new map system has me perplexed. The new skill tree makes me drool. The fact that armor and weapons are now incredibly character specific (i realize they were in the last game, just not this much) makes me very angry. The graphics are pretty sweet, not really upgraded though. You can't have a second weapon set, that upsets me. The dialogue isn't nearly as amusing. I don't like how my character sounds when he/she talks. The battles are much more realistic and gory, which I really enjoy, the moves you can pull off are nothing short of amazing. Bodhan and Sandal look REALLY different and aren't nearly as entertaining. I don't find the main story to be all that engrossing. Maybe I haven't played it enough or maybe I'm not giving it a chance because it is SO different from the first. Either way, I'm not finding it as addictive right off the bat as I did with the first. I'm willing to admit that if it were to stand on its own without any attachment to Dragon Age: Origins, it would be a great game. All I'm saying is that if you had something right with the first one in order for it to become game of the year, then why change it soooo much?
