Fans may like it but for the casual gamer..
I'm not really a fan of RPG's personally so..I took a risk buying this game..it was fun, don' get me wrong, but I just couldn't get into it. I think there where a couple of pitfalls for me. I thought it took too much time trying to get from place to place and I felt like i was just wandering around in circles. I find that boring. BUT I think I could've over looked that if the game didn't have so many little bugs! I CONSISTENTLY found my self having to restart from a check point cause the game froze or I got stuck in an invisible wall. Even at one time I had to restart my whole system and delete my data from the game cause the auto save had got me in a spot that was impossible to get through due to the bugs in the game. If the game hadn't had so many glitches I think I might have gotten into the game but..because of that I just can't get into it. On a plus side though the sound in the game is some of the best I've ever heard it was cool to hear frogs croaking and lizards slithering and etc. in the world so beautifully

Awesome but hard to recommend.
Fallout New Vegas (FONV) is set in a post nuclear war, 1950's-style America. The setting is amazing and the developer has done an outstanding job of creating their world. There is plently of inventory to micro-manage, and dozens upon dozens of locations to see, characters to meet, stories to hear, and quests to complete. If you're willing to invest the time to see everything (and every ending) you could spend upwards of 100-150 hours with this game. But this game suffers from a severe case of schitzophrenia. This game will crash on you, freeze-up during load screens, the frame-rate will studder and stop in the wastelands or whenever things get "too crazy" on screen. It's a truely amazing game that imo has a much better artistic feel and story than it's predecessor; Fallout 3. But the glitches and bugs make it very difficult to recommend over Fallout 3. It's your call, but expect some grief along the way if you do decide to buy. I put around 200 hours into this one, but trust me: it tried my patience.

GREAT game, but beware all the glitches and bugs
At core, the game is truly GREAT, and I'd said at least on par with Fallout 3. But to potential customers, all the warnings about the glitches are TRUE.
Up to now, I have not lived anything that was absolutely ''game breaking''
So consider the pros and cons before buying
