Demo + Previews
Alright, I have seen all the previews, and played the demo til my PS3 protested. This game will be a step in the right direction, after (what some would say) a disappointing predecessor.
Final Fantasy XIII-2's demo had only one (yes only ONE) issue for me, and that was the music. The game play is smooth, added battle actions smoother, a dedicated jump button helps you find hidden things you'd not have been able to find any other way. Preemptive strike is far better in this, than the first game. There are a few changes to visual effects, and some CGI appearances, but so far the demo is making the game WELL worth the pre-order.
For those who complained about the linearity of FFXIII, you wont be complaining here. I got lost a few times in the demo, and imagine most of the other maps will be big, and fun to explore. The hidden treasures are VERY cool, (especially if you're one of those players that counted on the SOUND of treasures in the last game, LIKE ME!) its kind of a way to DEMAND you pay attention to the art work. Which is highly detailed.
The auto-save feature, is a wonderful add-on, as is the save anywhere addition. Defeating monsters to use them in your party makes battles easy if you set up everything right, and the changes to the crysarium.... while odd, is a welcome change. All in all, I'm looking forward to this release, and am booking a week off just for the game :P

Expectations
Looks great, just going through 13 again right before this release, Only one thing I hope they dont go through with is what they did with x-ii and have the whole costume changing deal with a whack tonne of spec ontop of the crsystarium and paradigm system, I felt there was already too much to handle in a reasonable amount of gameplay with giving all the chars the option of every role, I mean yes it gives lots of options but they shouldnt have done it in chapter 11 or at all even, just a good way for a company to add hours on to what already was a mindless grind of a chapter. Other than that no really big changes needed. Leave the game as it was, heavily story driven and really for this addon I wouldnt mind if the whole game was linear play just like chapters 1-10 in ff13 just to give us a bit of a break before 15 hits. Thanks!

Hopefully as good as FFXIII
Saw some screens, the battle system seem to be similar to the first one. If they do change something, hoepfully it will be more summons.
The first one was very story driven so this one will probably do the same thing.
