Good Game
I got this game without very high expectations, and I was surprised by how good it was. The story was good with interesting characters, intense combat with many varying combos, and boss battles that will prove a challenge. This isn't a masterpiece, but definitely underrated and worth checking out if you're into hack and slash games.

This game has made my list of favourites.
I started this game because I had heard that other people had liked it, and I thought that I could give it a try. Boy, was I glad that I did! The whole game is like being in an over-the-top action/kung-fu movie. The gameplay is great; I couldn't stop playing. The music is STILL stuck in my head. (Unfortunately, there isn't an official soundtrack). The combat is so dramatically emphasized. I would hit random things just to see Nariko swing the sword. Even with a lot of the game focused on the combat style, I still got wrapped up in the story. So wrapped up in fact; that when a certain part in the end came up, I actually gasped and felt angry at a certain someone. The characters are really believable too. King Bohan is quite funny actually. I laughed many times. The only complaint that I have is with the graphics. Don't get me wrong, the facial expressions are amazing, as are the landscapes. It was the hair that bothered me. The hair moved so unrealistically, it almost distracted me (but hey, what game isn't flawed in some way or another). That is my only beef with this game. Other than that, I absolutely loved it. It definitely made my list of favourites. I may never trade it in. Heavenly Sword isn't a game for beginners though. It requires strategy and a few trial and errors (like those darn flying discs!). My favourite part was playing Kai. Her AfterTouch controls are so much fun to use. Overall, it is a great game with tons of lasting appeal, style, and beauty. It is AWESOME.
