Realism + Video Games = Annoyance
Mass Effect 1 was such a wonderful game. Sure, not perfect. But it had a great, complex storyline based in a fantasy future and wasn't too bothered with realism that bogged down the gameplay. Unfortunately Bioware did away with all of that and instituted a hardcore realism to the game which is most noticeable in the long, drawn-out battles you're going to have every five minutes or so. Limited ammo and world-realistic reloading lead to annoying battles that drag on like a bad Costner flick. Every two seconds you have to stop for several seconds to reload and every eight seconds or so you run out of ammo and ammo can be quite hard to find. And even though you have ammo and much slower firing rates, the enemies are much tougher than they were in ME1. Instead of playing like an interactive movie, ME2 plays more like a series of 'mini missions', after which you get a progress report which breaks up and lags the storyline down further. Not that you're missing much. The complex storyline with it's tricks and turns from ME1 is gone and we're left with "Some bad guys are kidnapping people! Let's get 'em!!" Even the Galaxy Map has been downgraded and become annoying with the addition of fuel that you have to pay for so you can fly your 80s game-esque ship around the map paying out the butt for fuel, just like in real life. But if I wanted to worry about fuel, I'd go and actually drive my car around. I play video games to escape from reality, especially video games about futuristic spaceships and aliens. Bring back the fantasy Bioware! I could barely get enough of ME1 but I'm only about 3 hours into ME2 and already tempted to bypass it in hopes that ME3 is better.

Hope all PS3 users enjoy this amazing game.
The Mass Effect series is some of the most epic, action packed, and intense story-telling in all of video games. I've played Mass Effect 1 and Two along with the DLC on my Xbox 360, and I love this game. When I first found out it was headed to my brothers on the PS3 I was a bit dissapointed, but then I realised that I want everyone to experience the thrilling, entertaining and most of all fun adventures of Commander Shepard and the crew of the Normandy. I am telling all of my friends with a PS3 to get htis game, and I hope they do just to have the experience I had playing this game. So if you do decide to pick up this game for your PS3 enjoy one of the best gaming experiences money can buy.

Mass Effect 2 PS3 Upgrades
"[We] wanted to make sure that we added a lot of benefit to the people who waited," said Houston. "One of the first things you've going to see is improved graphics. We actually created the engine for Mass Effect 3 and used that to make Mass Effect 2 PS3. So we took the content, the story and all the other assets that made up Mass Effect 2 and put it into the Mass Effect 3 engine. And that's what we're actually delivering." The PS3 version will also include bug fixes, all of the DLC released for ME2 thus far, and - given the nature of the PS3's Blu-Ray discs - will not require the player to swap discs.
