Xbox 360® 4GB Console
INSERT TITLE HERE:
This xbox is pretty much the exact same as the last one, just a new colour and a bit smaller, it has built in wifi and it doesn't come with with an HDMI, it has to be bought separately. Besides that, i think its a good system, i replaced my old xbox with this for about 90 dollars, so im not to sure about value, another thing is it comes with a very small hardrive, it says 4 GB but really its about 2.7, BUT i found out that the old xbox hardrives are compatible with it, all you gotta do is open up the hard drive and insert it into the xbox. So now i have 20GB and it only cost me 20$, not a big difference over all between this and the old console, but if your about to start gaming, the ps3 is available for 20$ more i think, and that would be a better choice with the free online, if your already familiar with the xbox and already have DLC's an account and game saves, this is probably a better choice
I am buying a the xbox 360 soon.
I am 32 years old and I have been playing games since the old nes and sega master system days, I have seen systems and games come and go. I am buying the 360 4 gb in 6 days from now and I am going to spring for the new 20 gig hdd, I think the 360 for the price and performance is what matters and the games are alot cheaper for the 360. The Ps3 is good too but for me I am looking for more muchure games that is why the 360 is perfect for me. It is up too the buyer to make their minds up on what they want from a next gen system. I would say though the 360 has a better lineup of games and the used games are cheaper to buy also. I would give the 360 a 9 over the ps3 iI would give the Ps3 a 8 But that is not to say I wont buy a ps3 down the road. To finnish this off I would recommend the 360 4 gig to anyone who wants a good all round system for years to come. thanks brynn.
It is really worth it!
This console is sweet. It's LIGHTNING fast with stunning graphics and amazing performance. It is SUPER quiet when you put a disc in too. It's games are amazing. One game in particular that I love is Halo: Reach. It has probably the best graphics and gameplay than any other game. It is also Kinect ready so when you get the Kinect you can just hook it up to the back of your Xbox 360 S. This console sure tops the PS3 and Wii. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a console that is fun to play. Thank you.
Good console, and no problems
I don't understand why people are complaining about the noise the 4GB apparently makes?
I bought mine second hand 10 months ago(barely used though) and it only makes noise as it is starting up.. and then it goes very silent... so much that I forget to turn it off at times.. haha
Also, I have mine standing up and it doesn't make any more noise than when it is laying down.
As much as I love my Xbox, I would not recommend getting the 4GB console if you don't already have an extra hard drive.
Mine came with a 250GB internal hard drive when I bought it second hand and I just couldn't imagine only having 4GB of space.
As for the Xbox controllers, they are hands down the best and toughest controllers I have ever come across! I have dropped mine so many times and it is still as crisp and precise as when I first got it!
5/5 for the controllers!
Now for Wi-fi... I must admit that there is still room for improvement.
My wireless network is excellent, but it will sometimes disconnect while playing Live for no apparent reason.
Also, I find there is some lagging every once in a while as I play online.
I don't know if the Wi-fi is any better with the Elite console, so I can't compare.
In all, I am very happy with my console and I will use it until it breaks down (which I hope will be in a loooong time!)
This is just my honest opinion and I wish everyone happy gaming!
First, I have read reviews of people saying if you game online don't buy this 4gb model. I have played numerous games online and have played single players as well. The save game files are not big at all. Someone also said that they installed COD so their online play would be faster. That is not true, just because you installed the game doesn't mean online play is faster, just your single player load times will be a fraction faster. You also do not need to install games to the hdd because this drive is super quiet, you barely even hear the disc spinning. You can also open up an old 360 console hdd and take out the hdd and slide it into the hdd expansion slot on the new slim model if you want more space. If you don't plan on installing a bunch of games and music/media than this console works excellent. Do not listen to these other reviews, they don't know what they are talking about. Everything you can do on the old one you can do on this one except install games to the hdd. I definitley recommend this console to a new 360 user, if you find you need more hdd space down the road you can always buy the 250gb hdd or use an old 360 hdd if you need it. But i guarantee you won't need it for a long time as long as you don't install games to the hdd. Which is not necessary with this console because it is faster and quieter than the old ones. 5 stars.
Great place to start
While the unit is awesome it is a tad pricey, given a PS3 with a 160gb drive is only $50 more. This only has 4gb of internal storage so you will need a hard-drive if you plan on downloading a lot of games/demos. It runs dead silent and is 1/2 the size pof the previous models. Built in Wireless-N makes for fast connection and downloads, supports all security types. WPA/WPA2 AES or TKIP encryption. 5 USB ports plus optical out and HDMI makes connecting to HT receiver or large tv's a breeze. Buy a HDMI cable though as it does not come with one.
i got the xbox 360 slim 4gb for 140 and i use two 8 gb usb and i have a lot of space on there i got kinect for x mas and i had my old xbox 360 i got in march of 2010 it was a 120 gb i used 10 gb up so with the two 8 gb and the 4gb i have 20 gb in total the kinect works better and wifi that will save you 100$
the xbox 360 is amazing
the xbox 360 is amazing. if you think you want a game system made by MICROSOFT defently get this one. the only problom is the red ring of death so don't play the 360 for 6 or 5 hours trust me its going to red ring its self. overall its amazing.
Buy a PS3!!! Xbox 360 sucks!!!!
before i start i actually didn't buy one but i have played them at friend houses.Xbox's suck and ps3's rule. why is a PS3 better: blueray player/blue ray gaming, free online gaming ( it cost's 60$ a year to play online for a Xbox and 25$ for 3 month's), lighter and better controller that u can play with while they charge when Xbox controller's need batteries to replace which cost's extra money and PS3's have more exclusive games which are awsome like: grand turismo games and killzone games. even though a PS3 is 100$ it's worth with a bluy ray player(cost's 120$ comes with free) and free online gaming (u have to pay for online gaming with an Xbox) and no need to buy batteries. in conclusion ps3's are better.
i bough this because the ps3 is too expensive and it was amazing
