Xbox 360® 4GB Console
This is the best thing ever even the built in WI-FI and the one month xbox live gold membership sick
it is a waist of money i cant play for more than an hour on xbox live because it disconnects you for no reasen. it only has 4GB memory how can you have xbox live and watch movies and game demos to play, it can bearly hold a couple games. if you are a gamer or just watches movies you cant watch them for that long. i had to spend $100 for a wifi adapter so it dosent disconnect me. the only good thing is the controllers there prety good other then that this 4GB consolle isnt for you . I recomed 250GB or 320GB if you like downloading movies and such. overall its only good for a couple games
Great place to start
While the unit is awesome it is a tad pricey, given a PS3 with a 160gb drive is only $50 more. This only has 4gb of internal storage so you will need a hard-drive if you plan on downloading a lot of games/demos. It runs dead silent and is 1/2 the size pof the previous models. Built in Wireless-N makes for fast connection and downloads, supports all security types. WPA/WPA2 AES or TKIP encryption. 5 USB ports plus optical out and HDMI makes connecting to HT receiver or large tv's a breeze. Buy a HDMI cable though as it does not come with one.
the xbox 360 is amazing
the xbox 360 is amazing. if you think you want a game system made by MICROSOFT defently get this one. the only problom is the red ring of death so don't play the 360 for 6 or 5 hours trust me its going to red ring its self. overall its amazing.
Good console, and no problems
I don't understand why people are complaining about the noise the 4GB apparently makes?
I bought mine second hand 10 months ago(barely used though) and it only makes noise as it is starting up.. and then it goes very silent... so much that I forget to turn it off at times.. haha
Also, I have mine standing up and it doesn't make any more noise than when it is laying down.
As much as I love my Xbox, I would not recommend getting the 4GB console if you don't already have an extra hard drive.
Mine came with a 250GB internal hard drive when I bought it second hand and I just couldn't imagine only having 4GB of space.
As for the Xbox controllers, they are hands down the best and toughest controllers I have ever come across! I have dropped mine so many times and it is still as crisp and precise as when I first got it!
5/5 for the controllers!
Now for Wi-fi... I must admit that there is still room for improvement.
My wireless network is excellent, but it will sometimes disconnect while playing Live for no apparent reason.
Also, I find there is some lagging every once in a while as I play online.
I don't know if the Wi-fi is any better with the Elite console, so I can't compare.
In all, I am very happy with my console and I will use it until it breaks down (which I hope will be in a loooong time!)
This is just my honest opinion and I wish everyone happy gaming!
I had a PS3 before i got this and on PS3 the online was really bad. I bought this and I am now having the best online experience i could ever have. I suggest buying a bigger hard drive because it cant store a lot of data but besides that it is great.
Get the 250GB one
I bought this because it was the cheapest Xbox available and I just wanted an Xbox, its not as good as its advertised to be. It says 4GB but really its only 3.3GB and I put one Xbox live account and 1 disk game on it and I am down to 1.6GB, so it can only fit like 2 or 3 disk games then you need to buy a memory key or hard drive. Also it says 1 month of free Xbox live gold, that's a lie unless you make your account on the Xbox. I transferred my windows live computer account onto my Xbox and because I did that I couldn't get my 1 month free gold. I strongly recommend getting an Xbox because they are the best they run perfectly and everything, but get the 250GB console, and buy live at the same time as the Xbox.
Taking you chance when you buy this.
I got an 360 from my Girl friend for Christmas, two weeks later it died. The lights started to blink and it would'nt power up. I guess most people have heard about the red rings of death. But those were in the old model. I guess the new ones are'nt much better. Graphic wise it looked great, Forza looked stunning, but does'nt beat GT5 in the handling department. But like the title says you are taking chance when you buy this system, you do with them all but the xbox 360 has a much higher rate of failure. Not as bad as the old 360 but dead in less then two weeks. Not good
This xbox is awesome works great wireless internet get it!!!! no more long cords for internet, aton of usb slots, and a controller!
its awesome. anybody any age can play and maybe buy. plus if your family wants to watch a movie you can put it into the Xbox and it will play
