One of the best games of 2012
Dishonored is a masterpiece of a stealth game that offers a wide variety of ways to play through it. You can take powers are try to eliminate everyone in your way, or you could try to use stealth and alternate means to remove your targets without even killing them. In short, Dishonored is a stunning success, and is definitely a worthy purchase!

INCREDIBLE
THIS GAME IS MIND BLOWING!!!! Dishonored is a "play your way" game where the powers and abilities that you control are your decision. Amazing visuals, and amazing story line!!! Perfect for people that are into the Assassins Creed franchise. ENJOY!! (Trust me, you will!)

THE TRUE GAME OF THE YEAR!
Forget the walking dead in my opinion dishonored is the real game of the year because: true freedom approach every level the way you want to play you can use stealth or fight (however fighting is VERY HARD even on easy), upgrades you get items called runes you can use to upgrade your powers speed, health, etc. and so for these reasons i say dishonored is the true game of the year.

Short and boring story
Story is hard to fallow and you did not really know why you were killing these people. Also it is too short with just 8 missions. The game might look fun in the trailers but don't be tricked by it i was and now i wish i didn't get it.

Biggest let down save your money even for 30$
I made an account for this review and i just want to keep it short but this game is absolutely terrible. The graphics are like that of a cartoon and are the first step in making this a terrible game. The gameplay is cheezy, the characters bland, and it is so linear it will drive you crazy. The game is the shortest game i have ever played with only 9 short missions and NO FREE ROAM WHATSOEVER. Note that is a chapter select based game. This has to be the biggest video game letdown for me and unless you find it for 30$ dont waste your money. Definitely not worth 60$. This game just feels like a a cheezy minigame with terrible graphics. This is coming from an avid gamer for the record..

Oh my lord.
This game rocked my world. The graphics were nicely stylized and you felt like a cool guy playing it. It's short but they pack a lot into it. Recommended for any gamer.

You decide how to play
I'm a big fan of games like Bioshock and Splinter Cell, so when I read up about Dishonored I was looking forward to it. I went into the game not really knowing what to expect, would it live up to what the developers were claiming? Short answer, Yes! Let me say I was very surprised how amazing the gameplay is. You are free to play how you want, stealth, all out assassinations or a healthy mix. In fact you can play the entire game after the opening sequence without killing anyone and it may be worth your time to do so as a meaty Achievement awaits those with no blood on their hands. I decided to play through my first time doing the thorough "clean" way. Taking my time and slowly working my way through each level without killing anyone. I was also happy to see that each Assassination Contract has alternate ways to complete including having someone else take care of your target for you. The game will also remind you that your play style will also be reflected in the game's ending. Will you find yourself a brutal assassin clearing your way through Dunwall with dead bodies all around. Or will you be the compassionate savior letting each individual target to live with the consequences of their actions? And unlike other games you are reminded throughout the game about the morality of your actions. Can you live with your actions as well? The gameplay is straight up Splinter Cell stealth in first person view. Mixed with the left handed powers of Bioshock. Use Blink to instantly teleport a short distance and Dark Vision lets you see through walls. The visuals are very much on par with Bioshock's gritty early century flair with dreary alleys and backstreets to gorgeous high society mansions. The sound is on par with a AAA title, though I did notice some popping while using Dark Vision The voice acting is very well done and the voice actors matched up well with their character's making each grand speech or small joke between guards fit right into the atmosphere. For those of you looking to quench your stealth / assassination fix then spend some time behind Corvo's assassin mask and decide for yourself ... will that guard in your sights live or die?

Game of the Year!
Ok so I know it's still early to say. I mean there's still AC3, Halo 4, the new Wii U games and a few more but so far this is my favorite game of the year. First of all, you feel so much like Nightcrawler in this game, which is awesome. Secondly, the amount of options you have to explore and choices to either kill people or be completely stealthy is incredible. So few games now has this much freedom and there hasn't been since BioShock and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. When this game compares to those great ones, then you know you're in for a treat. Do yourselves a favor and pick this game up. You won't be disappointed.
