How many PS5 consoles can I pre-order?

Due to the popularity of the PS5 console, we are currently limiting pre-orders to one unit per household.

Where can I pre-order a PS5 console?

Pre-orders are available both online, and in your local store.

Can I choose if I'd like to pick-up the console at my local store, or have the console shipped to my home?

If pre-ordering online, you will have the ability to select the home delivery option at checkout. If pre-ordering in store, you will have the ability to make a reservation for pickup at the same store. We will not have the ability to support pre-orders online for pick-up in store at the time of launch, unfortunately.

How long will you hold my pre-order in store?

Due to the popularity of the new PS5 console, our in-store hold time periods will be reduced to 24 hours for all customers, including EDGE members. If you pre-order in store, please ensure you plan to pick-up your console on the day of release. If you are unable to pick-up your pre-order on the day of release, your pre-order will be cancelled. In the event this occurs, you will have the ability to apply your $100 pre-order deposit to another product purchase in store, or will be eligible for a refund.

Can I have someone else pick-up my pre-order on my behalf on the date of release?

We are only able to release pre-orders to the individual who originally created the pre-order.

Which PS5 products will you be carrying?

We will be carrying the PS5 Console, PS5 All Digital Console, DualSense Wireless Controller, PULSE 3D Wireless Headset, DualSense Charging Station, HD Camera, and Media Remote. We will also be carrying our GameStop Exclusive Biogenik accessories. Please visit ebgames.ca/ps5 to view all available products for pre-order.

The PS5 product I'd like to purchase is currently out of stock. When will you have more stock available?

If the item you'd like to pre-order is currently out of stock, please check back again soon! In an effort to ensure as many customers as possible have an opportunity to pre-order a console, we will be taking PS5 console reservations several times both online and in store until the date of release.

Do you require a deposit when pre-ordering a PS5 console?

If pre-ordering in store, a $100 deposit will be required. If pre-ordering online, we will take your payment information at the time of reservation, and you will be charged the full price of the console on the date your order ships.

Will you be offering trade promotions at the time of pre-order?

For in store pre-orders, yes! Please visit gamestop.ca/playdoffers for more information on all trade promotions that are applicable to PS5 console pre-orders.

What information will I be required to provide when placing a pre-order for a PS5 console in store?

You will be required to provide your first name, last name, telephone number, and email address. We require this information to ensure we can communicate with you efficiently with updates pertaining to your order if required.


Pre-ordering products for in-store pickup is fast and easy. First, ensure you’re logged in on gamestop.ca, and simply add eligible pre-orders to your shopping cart using the "Add to Cart" button. In your shopping cart, click on the "Pre-order online & pickup in-store" button to continue. A $5 deposit is required to ensure your product is reserved for you in-store. Please be aware that regular in-stock merchandise are not eligible for pickup in-store.

You’ll need to select an GameStop store where you’ll pickup your order. You can do this by using the map feature at the checkout and searching by city, store address, or postal code. Once your order is placed, you cannot change your selected store. You will receive an order confirmation by email and a call from the store once your product arrives. At that time, you’ll be required to pay the balance of your order at the store.

If you would like to cancel your pre-order, please visit the store that you directed the order to. An associate will be more than glad to assist you with the refund.

Please note that your order details will not be visible to the associates at your pick-up location immediately. Details will be sent within 24 hours of placing your order.

Please note: This is a digital product. The product will be delivered in the form of a redeemable code which will be viewable on the "My Order" page.


All orders for Digital products are manually checked by our team prior to approval. If your order is placed outside of normal office hours (Monday to Friday), this may delay processing of your order.


Please note: Digital products are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged once the order has been processed.
